What is Tantra?
Tantra is the reawakening of the Divine within us. By directing & cultivating the Kundalini (life-force energy) found at the base of the spine, we can awaken our bodies, minds, hearts & spirits to higher consciousness & pleasure. This opens us to the Divine union within ourselves & with the beloved.
Our Bodies are Sacred Sensual & Sexual Vessels
Our Bodies are a gift of profound pleasure. We believe that human beings were meant to experience states of Ecstatic Bliss every day, which is our natural way of being. Our bodies are amazing temples of pure love and consciousness that desire to express love and passion, in every aspect of our lives. This is the philosophy of the Tantric Path of Sacred Sexuality.
Pleasure is Our Birthright
We are by nature ecstatic beings. As babies we can die if we are not touched. It is our divine purpose to love and be loved and feel pleasure everyday of our lives. Due to cultural wounding and religious dogma, our sexuality has become one of the most confused and damaged areas of our lives. The so-called, "War between the Sexes" has bred an enormous lack of understanding for each other’s differences and needs.
Tantric practice creates a foundation of mutual appreciation of the beauty and magnificence that men and woman embody. When we give ourselves permission to feel deeply our ecstasy, pleasure and love, we begin the healing of the separation in ourselves and with our beloved. As a result both sexes experience empowerment, trust and cohesiveness. The natural heart connection and pleasure flow between the masculine and the feminine is reestablished. We become internally united and balanced.
With Tantric sexual practice we learn to move the pleasure energies freely through our bodies and then to the higher centers of the brain. The more we experience pleasure without fear and guilt, the more we can trust, love & freely explore all the luscious pleasure we deserve.
Expressing Freely from Our Hearts
Sexual pleasure that is connected to the heart heals the separation of the masculine and feminine within us. We become internally united and balanced. With Tantric sexual practice we learn to move the pleasure energies freely through our bodies and then to the higher centers of the brain. The more we experience pleasure without fear and guilt, the more we feel trust and love with ourselves and each other. The old separation of the "War between the Sexes" starts to disappear and we can explore all the luscious love and pleasure a man and woman create.
Celebrating the Goddess in Women & the Divine Masculine in Men
We see the Goddess in all of her myriad forms, living deeply in the hearts and minds of every woman. It is a woman’s birthright to express freely her Shakti energy and to move deeply into her body and sex center; lavishing in her juiciness and surrendering into ecstatic pleasure. When a woman opens fully to her sexual potential, she also opens the door for the man’s highest sexual pleasure as well.
In Tantric philosophy the phrase, “Sacred Masculine”, refers to a man’s higher sexual expression. We believe that as a man matures, he becomes powerfully motivated to seek, study and master the art of conscious lovemaking. In this journey he encounters the transformation of the small “self” into the bigger “Self,” and learns to be present while holding his focus and awareness on the woman’s opening and pleasure. As his ability to stay present increases, so does his power and knowledge as a lover. He then gains mastery in the highest echelons of lovemaking.
This is the essence of Tantric Sexuality; the Goddess’s ecstatic opening and the Sacred Masculine’s conscious presence; together they weave the Sacred dance of pleasure, ecstasy and transformation.
